During my parents visit, we stayed at a resort for two nights. It was a lot of fun being with each other, laughing and talking. One evening, we made use of the resort's mini-golf course and I can tell you that I am really, really horrible at mini-golf, but I had a blast nonetheless!

Family Visit
Last week, my parents came for a visit! It was so exciting to have them and the break couldn't have come at a better time. We were able to do some really fun things like sight-seeing and staying at a nice resort. Lots of laughter and great conversations.
I don't generally struggle with homesickness, but living so far away from family is definitely the hardest part of living overseas and having them here was a real blessing. It's amazing how refreshing a visit from home can be!
Stay tuned for more photos!

Baby Shower
In just a month, my friend Anneke is having her third child. We are all super excited to have another kid around base and to celebrate we had a baby shower out on our lawn. It was a bit different than normal as we invited all the guys, but lots of good food and company.

Staff Retreat
This past weekend, we had our very first TTH staff retreat. We went to a beautiful, remote location and simply enjoyed being together, resting, playing games, eating great food, making bonfires, and laughing a lot.

Celebrate the Nations
A visiting speaker for our DTS hosted a cultural celebration night. In this school, we have four separate nations represented and each one is unique and special. Every people group prepared something to share with the others. It was a chance to learn a bit more about other cultures. I've never heard so much laughter as people rejoiced and celebrated their differences!
